Embark Studios is set to launch the second public playtest for their upcoming PvPvE third-person sandbox extraction shooter, ARC Raiders. This testing phase will run from April 30 to May 4, 2025.
Expansion to New Platforms
The initial playtest took place in October 2024, allowing only PC players to participate. This next round significantly expands access, now welcoming players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in addition to PC users.
How to Participate
To join the playtest, PC players can request access through the Steam page. Console players looking to sign up for the first time can do so via the ARC Raiders website. Participants from the previous playtest in October will automatically receive access and should check their emails for updates.
Gameplay Enhancements
Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal noted that substantial changes have been made to the game based on community feedback over the past six months. This upcoming playtest aims to evaluate these modifications at scale, focusing on aspects such as progression, combat mechanics, and cross-platform performance.

This playtest promises to showcase a larger array of weapons, tools, and the crafting system, contributing to a more comprehensive gameplay experience than ever before. It represents the biggest opportunity yet for players to engage with ARC Raiders before its official release in 2025.
