Assassin’s Creed II Sells 1.6 Million Copies First Week
November was a big month for blockbuster video titles, and Assassin’s Creed II wasn’t left behind in the madness. According to Ubisoft, the anticipated Assassin’s Creed sequel sold 1.6 million units in its first week, and a 32% increase over the launch week of its predecessor. While not on par with the Modern Warfare 2 release, it’s definitely an impressive start.
The game has scored impressively with critics and has a Metascore of 91 based on 43 critic reviews. There are many new gameplay elements, a deep story filled with conspiracy, and of course, stealthy, clever assassinations.
Assassin’s Creed II is available for the PS3, Xbox 360, and will be available at a later date for the PC.
