Sega announced PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta will be shipping in North America on January 5th, and January 8th for Europe. The game is already available in Japan for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Bayonetta was developed by Hideki Kamiya, director of Devil May Cry. Players assume the role of the beautiful and sexy, glasses-wearing witch who has been awakened after being entombed for 500 years, and has no memories besides her witchcraft. She fights ethereal enemies and slowly begins to regain her memory. Also, the more she fights, the more clothing she loses.
