Months ahead of Bioshock 2’s release, Feral Interactive will be bringing Rapture to the Mac for the first time with an October 7 release of the original Bioshock.

Mac users will have some stiff requirements:

• 1.8Ghz Intel-based
• 1.5GB memory
• 128MB graphics card
• DVD drive
• 8GB free hard drive space

Mac’s with integrated Intel graphics won’t cut it. It will run on the latest generation of Macbooks and even Mac Minis.

Bioshock was originally available for the Xbox 360 and PC in 2007 and a PS3 version came out in 2008. Bioshock 2 is expected to release on February 9, 2010 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC (no mention of Mac).

Bioshock will run $50 for Mac users.
