CS Wall Hack Nearly Costs Chinese Gamer His Life
A fight at a Chinese internet cafe over a suspected wall hack nearly cost one teenage Counter-Strike player his life. An argument erupted between two players when one accused a 17 year old of using a wall hack, which allows the player to see through the walls on a Counter-Strike map.
The fight ended when the assailant stabbed the 17 year-old in the head with a foot-long knife. Miraculously, the teenager survived; arriving at the hospital conscious and undergoing 10 hours of surgery to remove the knife. The blade missed major arteries, which kept him from hemorrhaging, and managed to somehow avoid affecting motor skills even though the blade passed through areas that control those functions. The physician who operated on the gamer said that the chances of surviving such a wound were one in ten thousand.
