Microsoft is poised for a strong Game Pass lineup in the upcoming year, particularly with anticipated releases of major first-party titles like Doom: The Dark Ages and Fable slated for 2025. Additionally, a variety of exciting new games were announced during the recent ID@Xbox showcase.
New Game Pass Additions and Announcements
The event highlighted a wealth of new game announcements, trailers, and release dates, many of which will be available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC at launch. Below is a list of the newly announced games:

Upcoming Release Windows
Several games received new release schedules. Hotel Barcelona, a 2.5D action-platformer developed by esteemed designers Suda51 and Swery, is projected for release in 2025. Meanwhile, Ratatan, a successor to Patapon, is expected to launch later this year. Additionally, Tron: Catalyst, crafted by Bithell Games, will be released on June 17, followed closely by the atmospheric puzzle game Herding.
Looking further ahead, the charming solarpunk road trip simulator Outbound is set for a 2026 launch, alongside the record store simulation game Wax Heads. The visually appealing Woodo, focused on diorama puzzle-solving, will also be joining the Xbox lineup soon.
Noteworthy Premieres
The latest ID@Xbox showcase introduced two new game premieres. The first, Rockbeasts, is a narrative-driven music RPG revolving around a band of animal rock stars emerging from the ’90s. The second title, The Lonesome Guild, is a party-based action-RPG featuring a ghost guiding a quirky group of adventurers through a decaying landscape.
Among the standout titles was Echo Weaver, a 2D “Metroidvania” game that challenges players to solve mysteries and manipulate time to escape a corrupted time loop. Developed by the creators of the acclaimed title The Wild at Heart, it showcases immense potential and innovative gameplay mechanics.
