Developer Rabbit & Bear Studios has announced the launch of the story expansion DLC for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which is now available on the Switch as of 2024. The first chapter, titled “The Chapter of Marisa“, will be accessible on the eShop this week at a price of $7.99 / £5.99 (or your local currency equivalent). To experience the new prequel content, players must own the main game.

In this prequel story to the epic saga of the Hundred Heroes, players will delve into Marisa’s journey as a Guardian. The narrative focuses on her meeting with an enchanted girl enchanted by ancient ruins, who becomes a beloved companion. Set against the backdrop of the vibrant Greatwood and the mystical Runebarrows, the duo embarks on a quest to unveil the mysteries surrounding the enigmatic “Child of the Rune.” A prerequisite for accessing this content is successfully completing the War “Recapture of Eltisweiss.”
