Final Fantasy XIII Gets December Japan Release, Spring 2010 for Everyone Else
Announced at a Final Fantasy Premiere Party, Final Fantasy XIII will be released in Japan on December 12, 2009. It will release internationally in Spring 2010, allowing little time for localization work, not to mention porting the game to the Xbox 360.
Company president Yoichi Wada acknolwedged, “In the past, it’s taken a year or half a year to release our games abroad,” he said, “but this time we are aiming for an international release this Spring.” More details on the International release will be upcoming.
Sony Chairmon and Group CEO Kaz Hirai also spoke about the legendary relationship between Final Fantasy and the Playstation, and announced that there would be a FFXIII-specific bundle for the PS3 coming sometime in the near future.
