Playstation 3 owners have come to terms with having to install their PS3 games. Final Fantasy enthusiasts will get a pleasant surprise with Final Fantasy XIII when they realize it doesn’t include hard disk installation.

According to game director Motomu Toriyama, the developer concentrated on low load times throughout the process and the only time a player will see a load is going between a town and a field.

This only affects the PS3 version of the game, as this will be the first time a Final Fantasy title will be coming to Xbox 360 as well (and doesn’t have mandatory hard disk installation on their games anyway).

Final Fantasy XIII will be released in Japan this December, and everyone else in the world will see it Spring 2010. Japan will also be getting limited edition FFXIII PS3 bundles.
