Camps play a crucial role in Monster Hunter Wilds. Unlike previous titles, Wilds does not feature a major city hub for players to return to following their hunts. Instead, players will interact with camps located across various unique environments. Establishing pop-up camps is essential, as these temporary facilities can be destroyed by monsters if not properly defended.
This guide to Monster Hunter Wilds will detail how to set up camps and provide maps of all discovered camps in the initial two environments.
Finding and Establishing New Camps in Monster Hunter Wilds
While exploring the diverse regions of Monster Hunter Wilds, players will encounter various locations suitable for setting up campsites. Once a site is identified, players can speak with a Palico at the nearby base camp to construct a pop-up tent. These tents serve multiple purposes, allowing for fast travel, loadout replenishment, and respawning after a faint.
Not every campsite can be activated simultaneously; players must select which sites to use. Some camps are more perilous, as certain monsters can damage them, leading to temporary disablement. Progressing through the main story allows players to unlock additional campsite slots.
There are five primary regions in Monster Hunter Wilds where players can create pop-up camps: Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Iceshard Cliffs, Oilwell Basin, and Ruins of Wyveria. Maps for Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest are provided below. Additional maps for the remaining regions will be added later!
