MAG also known as Massive Action Game is a PS3 exclusive Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter (MMOFPS) that allows for up to 256 players in a single server environment.  Players are divided into 8 player squads where 4 squads make up a platoon and 4 platoons make a company.  Each 8 player squad has a leader placed in charge of it based on the game’s ranking system.  The highest ranking players will have the option to either direct battles or participate in them. 

The battles are between the three different factions that exist; SVER (Seryi Volk Executive Response), Raven, and Valor. 

SVER (pronounced “Sever”)
A military force with personnel drawn from war-torn countries in the Middle East and Russia.

MAG was released on January 26^th 2010 for North America and will be released on January 28^th 2010 for most of Europe.  Australia and New Zealand have a release date of February 11^th 2010.
