Natalie Portman has signed on to play Jane Foster in the comic book movie "Thor". The character has been "updated" and instead of Jane Foster being a nurse, she will be a scientist.

Directed by Shakepearean guru, Kenneth Branaugh, the film will star Chris Hemsworth as thunder god Thor, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, the god of mischief.
