The GeForce RTX 5090 is considered one of the leading graphics cards on the market. Its counterpart, the GeForce RTX 5090D, is a specialized version for the Chinese market and has garnered significant attention. Recently, Galax introduced two new custom models of the RTX 5090D for gamers in China: the RTX 5090D Luna and the RTX 5090D Nox.
Innovative Design Features
Both the Luna and Nox models incorporate a unique quick-release shroud design. Instead of traditional screws, Galax has employed a magnetic attachment system, which allows for tool-free shroud removal. This innovation simplifies maintenance and enhances user convenience.
Specifications and Performance
The RTX 5090D models share similar specifications, differing mainly in their color schemes; the Luna features a white aesthetic while the Nox showcases a black design. Both models adhere to a triple-slot layout and are equipped with a triple-fan cooling system. They also boast a robust 14-layer PCB designed to match the color of each model, with a 16+6+7-phase power delivery system.
Galax offers both standard and overclocked versions of the RTX 5090D Luna. The standard model has a boost clock of 2,407 MHz, matching the reference specs of the RTX 5090D, while the overclocked version achieves a boost clock of 2,452 MHz. Though details for the Nox model are less clear due to the absence of its product page, it’s expected to feature similar options.
Power Requirements and Connectivity
Each RTX 5090D model carries a power rating of 575W and utilizes the latest 12V-2×6 power connector, an upgraded iteration of the 16-pin connector. A minimum power supply capacity of 1,000W is recommended for optimal performance. Display connectivity includes three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs and one HDMI 2.1b port.
Market Release Information
As of now, Galax has not disclosed details on pricing or a specific release date for the RTX 5090D Luna and Nox. It remains uncertain if these graphics cards will be available outside of China.
