Shadow Complex Cheaters Will Do Hard Time
The controversial Shadow Complex was released on Xbox Live in August, and sanctions have already been decided for those who cheat. Players verified as having cheated will be removed from leaderboards (though there is no word on what a “verified cheater” entails). These players will then be investigated by Microsoft to determine if their gamescore will be reset (and by gamescore, their ENTIRE gamescore). Such players with gamescores removed will then bear the “Cheater” brand on their profile, for additional public humiliation.
It would appear that people using game exploits (which were encouraged by developers) such as sequence breaking, won’t be subject to this kind of punishment and only players cheating to boost leaderboard scores will.
Shadow Complex is only available on Xbox Live to Silver and Gold members and costs 1200 points.
