Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Gets Solid Dec. 8th Release Date for Wii
It was reported last month that Silent Hill: Shattered Memories was going to be delayed from its original November release date. The delay won’t be much for Wii users, who can expect to see the horror game hit shelves on December 8th.
It’s uncertain when the PS2 and PSP version of the game will be released, but Amazon is listing them as having a January 31, 2010 date. The Wii game will retail for $49.99, and $29.99 for PS2 or PS. Europe can also expect to wait until next year for the game.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a reimagining of the original Silent Hill from 1999 for the Playstation, and follow Harry Mason and his search to find his lost daughter, Cheryl in the town of Silent Hill. There is no combat, so players will have to focus on how to evade monsters instead of fight them. Harry is armed with a flashlight and cellphone which can be used for GPS, texts and audio messages. Player’s actions will also modify the game dynamically, and use a “psych profile” which creators have been tight-lipped about. Wii users will be able to use the remote to solve puzzles, and also use it as if it were a flashlight.
