My Loyal Shield is one of the simpler treasure maps found in Avowed, guiding players to a less perilous area to uncover its reward.
Acquiring this map involves purchasing it, and the treasure hunt is straightforward: locate a back door and press a secret button. As a reward, players obtain a powerful shield that’s useful even for those who may not prioritize defense during battles.
Where to find My Loyal Shield treasure map
To acquire the My Loyal Shield map, visit Eberk, a merchant located outside the entrance of South Warden Tower. This merchant is easily found by heading north on the road from the entry point of Galawin’s Tusk, and the only threat you face is the merchant’s pricing. Eberk charges 5,220 skeyt for the map.
If you lack sufficient funds, explore the tower’s various floors to collect weapons to sell. The proceeds should provide enough gold to purchase the map.
My Loyal Shield location solution
The callout box on the map can be a bit misleading, as it refers more to access than to the actual location. To find the treasure, travel northwest from South Warden Tower along the lava river until you spot Outcast Tower Camp to your north. This broken tower, marked with scaffolding, indicates proximity. Focus on locating an Ekida-slash-Godless ruin instead.
Upon arrival, you’ll notice a swarm of beetles feeding on cadaver remains. It’s best to ignore these creatures and veer left, leading you to the back entrance of the tower. Inside, you will find a table and an otherwise empty chamber. The callout was indicating this table, specifically the button that triggers the opening of a hidden door.
Activate the button, proceed through the door, drop into the chamber, and claim your prize: the tier-four Time’s Tarnish shield. Although the room may appear intimidating, there are no further threats inside.
The Time’s Tarnish shield is a valuable asset. Despite its enchantments having a low activation rate, their effects can be significantly beneficial when they do trigger.
- 84 block efficiency
- 20 stability
- 340 parry efficiency
- 45 elemental resistance
Time’s Tarnish enchantments
- Timeless Aegis: Blocking has a 20% chance of restoring 20 stamina
- Dull the Edge, Blunt the Point: 10% chance to avoid melee damage
In Galawin’s Tusk, players face numerous threats, and if they haven’t kept upgrade materials, they might lack a tier-four armor piece. This shield serves as an effective interim solution for defense until better equipment can be obtained, making it worth equipping even for those who typically favor other gear.
