“Unveiling the Unseen: RoboCop, Styx, and Cthulhu Steal the Spotlight at NACON Connect!”

The recent NACON Connect event introduced exciting developments for fans of several franchises, including RoboCop, Styx, and Cthulhu.

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business

Following the success of RoboCop: Rogue City, which became the publisher’s most significant launch and won community acclaim as the Best Shooter Game of 2023, a standalone expansion titled RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is set for release in Summer 2024. This new installment will challenge players to ascend the Omni Tower, now infiltrated by elite mercenaries. Players can expect new weapons, brutal finishing moves, and special missions, including the ability to play as Alex Murphy before his transformation into RoboCop.

Styx: Blades of Greed

Styx, the crafty goblin, is making a comeback in Styx: Blades of Greed, developed once again by Cyanide Studio. Scheduled for Fall 2025, the game will retain its signature open-ended environments and a wide array of powers and tools for players. The central objective will revolve around stealing Quartz, a rare and magical resource.

Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss

Fans of H.P. Lovecraft’s mythos are in for a treat with two new Cthulhu-themed games. Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, developed by Big Bad Wolf, is a first-person thriller/investigative adventure. Players will embody Noah, an agent from a secret Interpol division, as he investigates the strange disappearance of miners in the Pacific Ocean, ultimately encountering the sunken city of R’lyeh, where Cthulhu is imprisoned. This title is expected to launch next year.

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is another upcoming title, in development at ACE Team. This first-person cooperative horror game places players in the shoes of Conquistadores on a quest to uncover a mythical underground city filled with treasures. As with any Cthulhu game, players will face challenges that test their sanity and must collaborate to survive the horrors they encounter. It is set to release later this year.

Hell Is Us Preview

NACON Connect also showcased new gameplay footage from Rogue Factor’s upcoming action/adventure game, Hell Is Us. The segment highlighted investigation mechanics that require players to use their observational skills, deduction, and intuition to reveal the secrets of the game’s mysterious landscapes. Scheduled for release on September 4, the game promises an intriguing exploration experience.
